Floral Applique Grey Trouser

I was given some fabric that was stored in a studio for some time. There was one piece that had many different water colour flowers in a repeat pattern. For these trousers I cut out several of them and then used a blanket stitch to applique them onto the legs.

The fabric used is a hand dyed cotton drill and the ink used was waste ink from an industrial fabric printer. The waste is partially elasticated and has a blue dyed bamboo ribbon to tie.

They are one of a kind and fit to a true ‘mes medium’.
